2. Data Collected
2a. Analytics cookies and navigation data
This website collects only the following browsing data, and only with your explicit consent:
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4): pages visited, visit duration, device type, browser, approximate location (city/region), traffic source.
- Internal navigation data: URL visited, referring page (referrer), user agent — collected anonymously for our internal usage dashboard.
2b. Contact form data
When you use the contact form at /en/contact, you voluntarily provide the following information:
- Full name (required) — to personalize our reply;
- Email address (required) — to respond to you and, where applicable, send a confirmation of receipt;
- Phone number (optional) — only if you wish to be called back;
- Subject (required) — to route the message to the right person;
- Message content (required) — to describe your question or request.
- IP address and user agent (browser, operating system) — automatically recorded on submission, for spam prevention (bot filtering) and form security.
These details are entered manually by you; they are never collected automatically and are never shared with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes. No medical or health information should be entered in the "message" field. If you are writing to us about a health concern, please avoid including sensitive information (health insurance number, test results, diagnosis) — we will instead offer you a secure consultation via Pomelo.
No medical data is collected through this website. This site serves to inform prospective patients and to facilitate appointment booking and contact with the clinic. No medical forms, patient records, or health information are transmitted to or stored on this website; clinical care takes place on the secure Pomelo platform.
3. Purpose of Processing
Data collected is used solely to:
- Measure site traffic and understand how visitors interact with content;
- Improve the user experience and relevance of published medical content;
- Identify the most-visited pages to guide information efforts.
Data is never used for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making.
4. Legal Basis — Explicit Consent
In accordance with Quebec Law 25 (An Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information) and the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), no non-essential cookies are placed without your prior, free, and informed consent.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (localStorage) and is never transmitted to a third-party server. You may modify or withdraw your consent at any time (see section 7).
5. Retention Period
- Google Analytics 4 cookies: maximum duration of 14 months (default GA4 setting).
- Internal navigation data: retained for 12 months in our database, then deleted.
- Consent choice (localStorage): stored in your browser until you clear it or update your preferences.
- Contact form data (
leadstable): retained for 24 months in our PostgreSQL database (hosted by Neon,aws-us-east-2region in the United States), for clinical follow-up and outreach to patients who have expressed interest in our services. Submissions that do not lead to an appointment are deleted sooner on request. This data is never used for marketing, and never sold or rented to third parties.
6. Transfer Outside Quebec
If you accept analytics cookies, your browsing data is transmitted to Google LLC (United States) via Google Analytics 4. Google LLC is subject to U.S. law and GDPR requirements in Europe. Transmitting data to Google constitutes a transfer outside Quebec within the meaning of Law 25.
In addition, when you submit the contact form, your name, email address, phone number (if provided) and message content are transmitted to Polsia's email service (polsia.com), our application infrastructure host. Polsia relays this information by email to the clinic for handling your request and sends you a confirmation of receipt. This email service is hosted in Canada. Submissions are also stored in the leads database hosted by Neon (PostgreSQL serverless, aws-us-east-2 region in the United States) — see section 8.
We make no other transfers of data outside Quebec.
7. Your Rights
In accordance with Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Right of rectification: correct inaccurate information;
- Right to erasure: request the deletion of your information;
- Right to withdraw consent: withdraw your consent to analytics cookies at any time, without prejudice to your use of the site.
